The main features of our Varied decoration belong to the late 1400s when copper green and brown manganese were added to other pigments that differentiate Deruta production: yellow antimony, orange and cobalt blue.
The most distinguishing feature of this decoration comes from the varied geometric patterns that come together to form strips of multiple designs and contribute to creating objects that are always different and multi-coloured.
Each type of decoration is made using one dominant colour and you can find in our collections ones that tend towards blue or green or orange.
